‘How can one live without water?’ | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, May 2: Residents of Kathua took to the streets on Monday against the water and electricity scarcity in their area. Protesters told reporters that they have been left to fend on their own by the administration. “Our taps are running dry, our homes have been plunged into darkness and the situation is turning from bad to worse. We want to ask the helmsmen how we can live without water,” they said. Protesters said that they are facing immense hardships in the absence of basic amenities. “Situation has turned grim and we are finding it hard to survive. The government should ensure that we get water and electricity. Our pleas and protests are not being taken any note of. It’s a sorry state of affairs,” they added. |
