| Machinery involved in illegal mining seized | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, May 10: The team of the Geology and Mining department laid Nakas overnight at different locations to crack a whip on perpetrators of illegal mining. On the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, the team conducted raids in Kotranka and Rajouri and seized three heavy excavators, one tractor trolley and a dumper found involved in illegal mining. The District Mineral officer, Naseeb Bajraang said that the department was taking effective measures to curb illegal mining practices in the district and defaulters were being dealt with strictly. He warned the people not to indulge in illegal mining activities and made it clear that the violation of Government rules in this regard would be dealt with strictly.
He reiterated that the drive launched against such practices will continue with more vigour and force till all perpetrators of illegal mining are brought to the book. |
