Course on IPR, training on Cyber Forensics commence at SKPA | | | Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, May 10: A two-day long course on 'Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)' and 5-day long training programme on 'Cyber Forensics' commenced here today at SK Police Academy. As many as 27 officers from various units/wings of J&K Police participated in the training programmes. The inauguration ceremony was held in the Academy where senior officers were present on the occasion. During the deliberations in inaugural session, emphasis were laid on adequate enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights especially in the time when there is faster growing Indian economy. Concerns were raised during the course regarding the link between violations of IPR's and other organized crime like terror funding etc. which caused serious threat to public safety and security of country. Whereas, course on Cyber Forensics designed to enhance investigation skills to tackle crimes in the virtual space, methodology of collecting digital evidence, e-mail tracking, Cyber pornography etc. The audience was informed that organizing such courses is the endeavour of DGP J&K and Director SKPA Udhampur. |
