Awareness about HIV AIDS and its Prevention

Budhal, May 24: An Awareness Program on Prevention of HIV/AIDS was organized by Red Ribbon Club (RRC) in collaboration with NSS, NCC Units and Department of Physical Education Government Degree College Budhal under the supervision and guidance of worthy Principal Prof. (Dr.) Mohd Mazammal Hussain. The program was scheduled at 1.00 pm in the Dak Bungalow premises of Budhal. NSS Volunteers, NCC Cadets and RRC Volunteers play an Act/Natak thematically “Create Awareness about HIV AIDS and its Prevention” on May 24, 2022. The main objective behind the program was to raise awareness about the part we all can play in making our society safer, to train students how to prevent ourselves and others from this deadly disease, to stop deaths, make communities safer, and support people who are bereaved seriously in such cases.
The representative, youth and senior citizens from Tehsil Budhal were present on the occasion as an audience. Act played by the volunteers made them aware on HIV/AIDS issues and also shared the concept of RRC, its objectives, strengthening of RRC unit, Life Skill promotions. After the completion of the Act, students took part in an interaction & cleared their misconception e.g., mosquito bite cannot spread HIV’, ‘close kiss cannot spread HIV’, ‘sharing cloths cannot spread HIV’ etc. The queries were answered by the speaker NCC CTO, Dr. Daya Ram. He in his unique way highlighted the aims and objectives of the program and made detailed presentation on the menace of HIV/AIDS. NSS Program Officer Prof. Aijaz Ahmad appreciated the participants on the occasion. He also suggested some of the means and precautions, how to curb the problem. Dr Shashi Devi instructed volunteers for the act played among the audience. Through the ethos of partnership working, this awareness program inspired students to devote personal time to activities raising awareness to safety issues. The students’ aware pedestrians about the importance of using necessary precautionary measures in daily routine life. Teaching staff namely Dr. Ajaz Ahmed Shah, Miss Preeti Sharma, Dr. Syed Mohmad Javad etc. were also present on the occasion. The program was concluded with a vote of thanks from Prof. Adnan Ali Shah.
