Democratically elected Govt only way out to end terrorism: AAP
6/1/2022 10:51:24 PM

Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 1: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday gave a clarion call to hold elections in J&K claiming that only democratically elected dispensation can wipe out terrorism from the Jammu and Kashmir as unhindered use of force has boomeranged the situation leading to surge in violence and anarchy.
In a joint statement issued by the AAP leadership including Gaurav Sharma, In-charge Prabhari, Jammu Province; Pardeep Mittal, Co-Incharge Elections J&K and senior leader and DDC Member Suchetgarh, Taranjit Singh Tony, said the recent cold blooded murder of lady teacher Rajni Bala hailing from Nanke Chack village of Samba District in Valley's Kulgam area was denounced and the governments both at the centre and in Jammu and Kashmir were censured for taking such a significant issue in a very casual way. They questioned that except shedding crocodile tears what extraordinary step has been taken by the government to curb such incidents which have resulted into sense of insecurity among people as no one knows who will be the next target of the terror mongers which are freely roaming with no fear of law of the land or law implementing forces. They said that though people of all shades and colours are under threat but the minorities are living on edge these days as the only saviour of their lives is God because for the government they are just numbers and nothing more.
The AAP leaders said that the need of the time is to revamp the entire security edifice and the government should revisit its policy on Kashmir or else such killings will go on unabated as has been the case for the last many months. The AAP leaders vociferously raised the demand of installing democratically elected government in the UT by holding free and fair elections claiming that this is the only solution in sight to end this vicious cycle of violence. "People's representatives leading a popular government is the only solution to wane off terrorism in J&K", they reiterated.
