"Rajiv Gandhi College of Nursing organises blood donation camp"

JAMMU, June 10: Today in the developed world, most blood donors are unpaid volunteers who donate blood for a community supply. In some countries, established supplies are limited and donors usually give blood when family or friends need a transfusion (directed donation). Many donors donate for several reasons, such as a form of charity, general awareness regarding the demand for blood.
Rajiv Gandhi college of Nursing, Chak Bhalwal Jammu has organised a blood donation camp at Sub-District Hospital Kot-Bhalwal Jammu.
The program was inaugrated by Dr. Gurbaksh Singh CMO Jammu, along with Dr. Sushma Mattoo BMO Bhalwal and Mrs. Anjana Bavouria, Director RGCN.
Dr. Gurbaksh Singh CMO highlighted the advantages of blood donation and how the blood donation can help the peoples who are in need.
Dr. Sushma Mattoo BMO Bhalwal, was also present in the program and applauded the faculty & students of Rajiv Gandhi College of nursing for their effort.
Incharge of blood bank Mr.GS Jamwal has played a key role in the collection of blood and its storage.
Anjana Bavouria Director RGCN present throughout the program and was encouraging & motivating the students constantly.
Some faculty members of RGCN was also there, Avinash Kumawat [Associate Professor], Rohit Manhas [Nursing tutor], Komal Dubey [Clinical instructor], Apurva Bhardwaj [Clinical Instructor], Omar- Bin [Clinical instructor], Sumair [Clinical instructor] and Sumit Sharma [IT Incharge] to help the students and to organize the event.
The students of all the courses like MSc Nursing, BSc Nursing, PB.BSc Nursing and other paramedical courses has participated voluntarily and enthusiastically.
