| Counselling and Placement Cell, SKUAST-Jammu organized guest lecture | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 27: Counselling and Placement Cell and NAHEP-IDP SKUAST-Jammu under the guidance of Prof. J P Sharma, Vice Chancellor, organized guest lecture for the students on "Prospects of Agriculture and Allied Sector Graduates in Industry". The lecture was delivered by Mr. Vijay Jain, Chairman, VKC Nuts Pvt. Ltd. In his talk, Jain highlighted the need for strong industry-academia linkage and tailoring of undergraduate curriculum to suit the requirements of industry for improving the job prospects for Agriculture and Allied Sector graduates. He further impressed that students should focus on innovations and take advantage of various Govt. of India schemes on Agri- Startups. Sharing his experience of having worked in the industry for more than fifty years Jain motivated the students to develop professional outlook and lauded the efforts of Counselling and Placement cell and NAHEP-IDP SKUAST Jammu for improving the soft skills of the students for making them industry ready. Lecture was attended by the students across the faculties and convened by Prof. Sanjay Guleria, Incharge Counselling and Placement Cell, SKUAST Jammu. SanveetKour, Young Professional, NAHEP-IDP, presented the vote-of-thanks. |
