RAMBAN, June 29: District Administration Ramban welcomed first batch of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, 2022 at Nashri where Chairperson, District Development Council, Dr. Shamshad Shan, Deputy Commissioner, Mussarat Islam and Senior Superintendent of Police, Mohita Sharma, received the devotees. Chairperson BDC, Batote, Rajeshwar Kumar, President Municipal Council, Ramban, Sunita Sumbria, DDC Councilors, Jagvir Dass, Renuka Katoch, ADDC, Rajinder Sharma, ADC, Harbans Sharma, Add. SP. Rajni Sharma, President Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), Ramban, Aashish Sharma, religious leaders and prominent citizens were also present on the occasion. While wishing the devotees a comfortable pilgrimage, the Chairperson DDC advised them to follow all guidelines to enjoy their spiritual journey. Meanwhile, the DDC Chairpersons also expressed her gratitude to Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha and CEO, Shri Amarnath Shrine Board, Nitishwar Kumar for establishing well finished and equipped Yatri Niwas at Chanderkote which will help to provide quality boarding and lodging facilities to pilgrims coming from different part of country for Darshan of Shri Amarnath ji. The Deputy Commissioner along with officers also interacted with the yatries to have first hand information regarding the facilities at the Langar. The DC said that the District Administration in coordination with Shri Amarnath Shrine Board, Social and Religious Langer Originations made adequate arrangements with regard to their boarding and lodging besides other essential services. After taking breakfast at Chanderkote, Nashri and lunch at Lanber Banihal the two conveys left for Baltal and Pahalgam under security cover to reach the holy destination. Later, the DDC Chairperson also planted a sapling at Nashri under plantation drive launched by the Forest Department on this spiritual occasion.
