| DDDC Chairperson Ganderbal visits Baltal, inaugurates langar at Manigam, wishes yartis safe pilgrimage | | | Early Times Report
GANDERBAL, June 29: DDC Chairperson Nuzhat Ishfaq conducted an extensive tour of Baltal and took on-spot assessment of the facilities being upgraded and provided for the convenience of pilgrims of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2022.
During her visit, the DDC Chairperson interacted with the Camp Directors, officials of Police and other security agencies and said that the better coordination among various agencies is of utmost importance for better facilities, seamless journey and spiritual experience for Yatris.
In Manigam base camp DDC Chairperson Nuzhat Ishfaq today inaugurated Langar (Community Meals) and wished devotees of Shri Amarnath Cave Shrine a happy and safe pilgrimage.
Nuzhat said such occasions provide people opportunities to get connected with social and religious events and enable them to serve pilgrims who come from all over the country in a big way.
Lauding the efforts of management and office bearers of the Langar , DDC Chairperson said this is a cause which eases problems of pilgrims and help them conduct yatra smoothly. DDC Chairperson laid stress on the measures aimed at preservation of environment by minimizing the use of plastic to avoid environmental degradation and directed officials to also prevent animal droppings to maintain it's aesthetic sense.
