Jammu, July 2: Today, Institute of Dental Sciences, Sehora Jammu observed National Doctors Day on the birth anniversary of Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy in the premises while giving an opportunity to extend gratitude for life saving services of doctors under the theme of ‘Family Doctors on the Front Line’.
Dr. Sarabjeet Singh, Principal, IDS accompanied by Head of Departments including Dr. Nikhil Wazir, Dr.Esha Bali,Dr.Alpana, other faculty members,interns and all the students were present on the occasion. Programme was started with lightening of lamp after which Intern Samiksha delivered a speech wrt role of a doctor in the lives of the people which was followed by a beautiful poem by Miss Farkandha.Later, performances including singing and skit presentation were also given by Interns Sonali bhat, Shefali and Banupriya. A tribute was also paid to all those doctors who ensured that Country did not succumb to the challenges posed by COVID-19. Dr Sarabjeet Singh, Principal, IDS, thanked organising committee including Dr.Esha Bali HOD, Dept. of Public Health dentistry, Dr.Jasjit Sahota, Professor, Dept. of Periodontitis and Interns for organising such graceful event. |
