| Jammu, July 12: Department of Geography, Govt. Degree College Thannamandi organized one day National Seminar on Human Resource for Sustainable Development to commemorate World Population Day 2022. The National Seminar was organized under the patronage of Prof. (Dr.) Javaid Ahmed Qazi who has formerly inaugurated the programme. The function was presided over by the officiating Principal of the College Dr. Nahim Un Nisa. Prof. (Dr.) Anuradha Sharma, Head, PG Department of Geography, University of Jammu, Jammu was the Chief Guest on the occasion who stressed upon “Plan the Family and Plan the Future” for better survival of mankind. Dr. Fouzia Rehman, Assistant Professor, PG Department of Geography, Veer Kunwar Singh University Ara, Bihar was the invited speaker on the occasion. She talks on understanding the role of Human Resource Development in achieving the Sustainable Developmental Goals. Various faculty members from across the country and different Colleges of J&K Higher Education Department and large numbers of students have participated in the seminar. Dr. Khalid Rayaz, Head, Department of Geography and the Organizing Secretary of the event has presented the formal welcome address while Prof. Ajaz Nazir, Head, Department of Physics conducted the proceeding of the seminars while Prof. Naveen Sharma, Head Department of Environmental Sciences. |
