Early Times Report JAMMU, July 13: In order to inculcate the importance of trees among the people and children of SukdevPura, Vanyadhi, a plantation drive was organized by Save Horticulture under the aegis of Manav Kalyan Charitable Trust on 12th and 13th July, 2022 wherein Swami Naresh Upamanyu ji briefed in detail about the importance of tree plantation and its necessity to the human beings. He also appreciated the selfless efforts of Dr. Parshant Bakshi for the welfare of mankind. Dr. Bakshi, a man behind Save Horticulture mission was the chief guest of this function and spreading this message that each and every person will plant at least one fruit plant on his birthday and other special days that will help to provide greener surface in the present era of climate change. Dr. Bakshi elucidated that there was a drastic change in the environment due to removal of tree cover and the necessity of trees was observed during COVID when people were paying for oxygen cylinders and which makes us realize the benefits of planting trees which not only give shelter to birds but also provide food, fruit and fuel. He also shared his message of One person One plant on his or her Birthday. The devotees of Swami Naresh ji also planted 50 fruit plants like mango, bael, guava, litchi, pomegranate, palm, ficus, ashoka in the premises of Ashram and Gaoshala provided by Save Horticulture. The program was coordinated by Dharminder Jasrotia. The other who were present are Pritam Singh, Sarpanch, Changi and Rakesh Singh Choudhary, Sarpanch, Vanyadhi. Since, 2016 to till date more than 12000/- plants were planted under this noble mission. |
