| Rajouri Forest Division conducts plantation drives to celebrate Guru Purnima | | |  Early Times Report
RAJOURI, July 13: Plantation drives were conducted by Sunderbani Forest Range of Nowshera Forest Division to celebrate Guru Purnima. Block Forest officer Sunderbani Rangeel Singh and Block Forest officer Town, Romesh Chander jointly organized a stall for the distribution of fruit, medicinal and ornamental plants at Shiv Ksha Ashram Sunderbani. The devotees were distributed the plants and after that a plantation drive under the Har Gaon Hariyali was also conducted. A large number of ladies, gents and children participated in the plantation drive. Rakesh Verma Range Officer Sunderbani said that such plantation drives help in greening the planet earth. He requested all the devotees to plant at least one tree on every occasion. Swami Vishwanand Sarswati Ji Maharaaj planted fruit trees in the Ashram premises, Ravinder Raina State President BJP J&K also planted fruit plants in the Ashram premises. Speaking on the occasion Swami Vishwanand Saraswati Ji Mahraaj overwhemly welcomed the ceremonial plantation on such occasions, it has an impact on society. Ravinder Raina highly appreciated the efforts of Forest Department, he said that Forest department is working day and night to keep the earth green and clean. Vivod Gupta former MLC Rajouri also participated in the plantation drive. The others among members of PRI, members of management committee of Ashram besides large number of devotees participated in the plantation drive.
Another such plantation drive was held at Guru Ravidass Ji Mandir in which large number of ladies , gents and children participated. The drive was organized by Block Forest Officer Kangri ,Didar Singh. A plant distribution counter was organized where plants having medicinal value, flowering and fruit plants were distributed among the devotees. The whole programme was conducted under the direct supervision of Vivek Verma IFS Conservator of Forests West Circle Rajouri and Neelima Shah IFS Divisional Forest Officer Nowshera. |
