POONCH, July 25: Provincial President Youth National Conference (YNC) Jammu and former MLA, Ajaz Jan today castigated the central government stating that the hollow policies of government have only resulted in increasing the sufferings of the people manifold. Addressing a joining programme here, Jan said that BJP befooled the people with its hollow promises before the elections and the common people today realize that they have been totally betrayed by the saffron party. He said the young lot has suffered a lot due to anti-youth policies adopted by the centre. The former MLA said that the development works initiated during the National Conference regime have become stand still as the funds received under Capex and State Plan remains non-utilized. He said the people of entire Poonch district areas have been facing acute hardships due to the lack of basic amenities. Jan lashed out at the government for the betrayal with daily wagers who were on roads, seeking justice. He said that the entire BJP leadership has promised to regularise the daily wagers but after coming to power they failed to pay them regular wages. He demanded that government should formulate a regularization policy for all categories of daily wagers, casual, need based workers and temporary, contractual employees so that they would have a sigh of relief in this highly inflation period. The former MLA said only National Conference can address the problems and issues of the people of J&K as it has a workers' base which knows each and every concern of the common man and can help in mitigating all the prevalent problems of the masses. He appealed to the people of Jammu and Kashmir to teach BJP a lesson by extending full support to the National Conference in the forthcoming Assembly elections in the interest of people of Jammu and Kashmir.
