Early Times Report JAMMU, July 25: The team of State Disaster Rescue Force along with police on Monday rescued 12 persons including women trapped in flash flood in Ujh River in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir. Due to rains in the higher reaches, the water level swollen in the River Ujh got 12 persons including women trapped. "Kathua police along with SDRF Team has rescued 12 persons including ladies from sudden flood in Ujh river," Ramesh Kotwal, Senior Superintendent of Police, Kathua said. He however, appealed to locals not to visit Ujh river in view of rainy season. Meanwhile, Deputy Superintendent of Police, SDRF Kathua, Sarabjeet Singh said, "as soon as we received an information about the trapped persons, our team acted swiftly and saved the precious lives with the help of local police." |
