Jammu, July 28: A meeting of JKNC Central Zone Jammu, Samba and Kathua Districts was held at Sher-i-Kashmir Bhavan Jammu under the chairmanship of its president and former Minister Babu Ram Paul.
In the meeting, Rattan Lal Gupta Adv, Provincial President JKNC Jammu was the chief guest.
In the meeting, all the members expressed anguish over the misuse of central investigation agencies by the BJP govt at Centre to harass its political opponents by framing baseless cases.
In this regard, they passed a resolution as well. The meeting also emphasized on strengthening the party cadre with special focus on youth ahead of forthcoming Assembly elections.
The members also expressed concern over the unprecedented rise in the number of unemployed youth. They held LG administration responsible for messy state of affair in all spheres of life. They also passed resolution against the rising unemployment.
Rattan Lal Gupta urged the members to work with zeal and reach out to masses in all nooks and corners to spread the message of party leadership to get united for the cause of J&K.
He expressed satisfaction over the work done by the Central Zone team headed by former Minister and Zonal President, Rampaul during the past eight months.
He also said NC had always worked to provide more and more employment opportunities to the youth of Jammu and Kashmir. He further said that if voted to power, NC would ensure jobs and land security for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
“NC is the only hope for the people of Jammu and Kashmir who are feeling cheated and deceived by certain forces which have snatched away their dignity and pride”, Babu Ram Paul said this while addressing the office bearers of Central Zone today at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan.
He said that unemployment is all time high in the country and in J&K as well following which the youth is under depression. “Frustration due to unemployment among educated youth is leading to suicides, crime, and drug addiction”, Ram Paul lamented. ‘
He also condemned imposition of GST of eatable products like wheat, milk curd etc., He said that the high inflation has turned the normal life upside down. “A daily bread earner is finding it hard to meet the both ends of the life”, Ram Paul added.
Former minister further said that we stand committed for secularism and social equality. He said NC has a legacy of serving the poor and weaker sections of the society which was started by Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah.
Sheikh Bashir, Provincial Secretary JKNC asked the office bearers and workers to launch sustained public campaigns at grassroot levels to strengthen the cadre at ward and block level. He asked the office bearers to constitute booth level committees in all the booths/wards for effective communication and propagation of party ideology and policies with the local residents.
Dr. Vikas Sharma, Zonal Secretary and Coordinator Jammu District (Urban) presented the welcome address and read the detailed report of activities carried out by Central Zone under the leadership of Babu Rampaul during the past eight months.
He told that a total of 67 events including public meetings, conventions, workers meetings, and grievance camps were organized to rejuvenate the party cadre and reach out to the masses for propagation of party's vision for development of J&K.
