JAMMU, Aug 2: Prime Minister Narendra Modi should announce restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir and go for elections to the state assembly at the earliest, demanded All parties United Morcha in a meeting today. In a joint meeting of Congress, NC,PDP CPIM, IDP was held today in Jammu under the chairmanship of veteran politician Sheikh Abdul Rehman EX -MP & attended by authorised leaders of these political parties and other social organizations today morning. It was demanded that the state hood is the right of every citizen of Jammu and Kashmir and it was arbitrarily snatched from us on August 5,2019. As a first step towards restoration of trust amongst the people, the statehood should be restored without any further delay. The PM should announce it on this year's independence day, if BJP government is sincere to restore the confidence of the people, the meeting said. The parties have respective politic. |
