Package employees’ protest for relocation enters 86th day | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 5: The PM Package employees continued their indefinite strike for the 86th day today at various KP transit camps across the Kashmir valley. The protesting Kashmir Pandit Package employees shouted slogans in favour of their only demand of “Relocation outside Valley” and appealed to the centre government and the LG administration to address their demand of attachment/shifting to the Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner’s Migrant office Jammu till normalcy is restored in Kashmir. Demanding justice, the agitating package employees raised their voice and protested in a peaceful manner by holding national flags in their hands at various places in the valley. The prominent leaders of the Package employees have welcomed the J&K UT administration’s decision of shifting of five KP Package employees from Kashmir to Jammu and are expecting that the remaining package employees may also be relocated to Jammu in the similar manner. Meanwhile, one of the protesting package employee opined that they are hopeful for a positive response from the strong leadership of the BJP government and the UT administration. The protesting employees also stated that they will continue their protest till the fulfillment of their genuine demand of relocation/shifting to Jammu division. |
