| Gandhinagar Police recover stolen scooty, thief arrested | | Complainant, locals hail SHO for swift action | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 5: Gandhinagar Police on Friday recovered a stolen scooty and arrested the thief.
According to the officials, Eshan Gupta son of Vijay Kumar of Shastri Nagar Jammu had lodged a complaint that he had parked his scooty (No. JK02BT-7281) near Ram Darbar Mandir and some unknown persons stole it.
On this information a case FIR number 186/2022 under section 379 PC was registered at PS Gandhi Nagar and investigation was started. During the course of investigation a number of suspects were rounded, sources added.
They said during questioning accused Rohin Kumar son of Jagir Lal of Dasor Tehsil RS Pura Jammu confessed his involvement in the case and on his disclosure the stolen scooty was recovered.
Locals, especially the complainant, have hailed the efforts of Jammu and Kashmir Police especially the Station House Officer Gandhinagar. |
