Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Aug 7: The Government today informed that 708 fresh positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19) have been reported today; 65 from Jammu division and 643 from Kashmir division, thus taking the total number of positive cases to 469749. Moreover, 665 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 147 from Jammu division and 518from Kashmir division. According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 469749 positive cases, 5304 are Active Positive (1275 in Jammu Division and 4029 in Kashmir Division), 459669 have recovered and 4776 have died; 2346 in Jammu division and 2430 in Kashmir division. The Bulletin further said that out of 26223718 test results available, 469749 samples have tested positive and 25753969 samples have been tested as negative till date. Besides, 13,274 COVID tests have been conducted in last 24 hours. Till date 6699443 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 144persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 5304 in isolation and 319in home surveillance. Besides, 6688900 persons have completed their surveillance period. Providing district-wise breakup for positive cases for today, the Bulletin informs that in Kashmir division, Srinagar reported 203 cases, Baramulla reported 248 cases, Budgam 67 cases, Pulwama reported 07 cases, Kupwara reported 50 cases, Anantnag reported41 cases, Bandipora reported 10 cases, Ganderbal reported 04 cases, Kulgam reported 12 caseswhile as Shopian reported 01 fresh case for today. Similarly in Jammu division, Jammu reported 36 cases, Udhampur 06, Rajouri 05, Doda 05, Kathua 02, Samba 02, Kishtwar 02, Poonch 04, Ramban 04 while as Reasi reported no fresh case for today. The bulletin informs that in case of any help, the general public can call J&K UT Centralised Health Helpline- Toll Free No. 104.In case of emergency, people can avail free ambulance services 24x7 by calling toll free number 108 while as pregnant women and sick infants can avail free services by dialling toll free number 102, the bulletin reads. It also informs that the public can reach national helpline by dialling 1075.
