Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 10: The Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) organized by 1JK Naval Unit, under the aegis of Group Headquarter Srinagar concluded in a befitting manner today at Camping Ground Nagrota. Around 325 senior-junior (SW/JW) NCC cadets from different schools and colleges of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh participated in the camp which started on 3rd August. The cadets underwent various training activities during the training camp which included Firing, Drill, Rigging, Semaphore, Ship modelling, Service subject, Health and hygiene, Map reading, Physical training, and Swimming besides being exposed to the camp life imbibing in them the qualities of being adventurous, disciplined, camaraderie ship, espirit-de-corps and secular values. Officer Capt. Kapil Sharma appreciated the enthusiasm and discipline displayed by the cadets. He also spoke about the immense role NCC plays in honing talents of the young and budding minds and also stressed upon the benefits of NCC certificates in joining the Indian Armed Forces. |
