Block Diwas: DDC Rajouri listens to public issues at Panjgrain | Calls for 100% saturation of Govt schemes, effective delivery of E-services | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Aug 17: As part of the weekly Block Diwas, the District Administration Rajouri today organised a public outreach camp here at block Panjgrain which was presided over by the District Development Commissioner, Vikas Kundal. Officers who attended the event were PO ICDS, Shoket Mehmood Malik; ACD, Vijay Kumar; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; ACP, Abdul Rashid Kohli; PO IWMP, Sheraz Chowhan; SE Hydraulics, JP Singh; DO PCB, Anupam Koul; CEO Education, Shailash Kumari; CMO, Dr Abdul Hamid Zargar and other District and Sectoral officers. During the event, the public and their representatives raised a number of issues and demands including macadamization of roads, upgradation of Govt institutions, meeting the paucity of staff etc. Specific issues included construction of culvert near HSS Panjgrain, compensation for loss of property due to incessant rains, renovation of Government High School Building Gambir Brahmana, meeting scarcity of drinking water, sanctioning of an EMRS for Panjgrain etc. Some more issues highlighted include payment of liabilities for construction of bunker, sanctioning of a bank branch and ATM for Panjgrain, adequate staff at PHC Gambir Brahmana; replacement of old water pipes, holding of farmers’ awareness camps on latest agricultural techniques and technology interventions, playground for Gambir Bhramna etc. Officers of different departments also educated the public about different schemes and programs being implemented by their departments in the district and motivated them to avail the necessary benefits of the same. They also replied to the queries raised by the public during the event. The DDC gave a patient hearing to all the issues and demands projected on the occasion and assured the public of early redressal of the same. Referring to a number of Govt schemes and programs, he asked the officers and PRI members to educate the common masses regarding the welfare initiatives so that maximum people could be benefitted. The DDC also said that a number of Government schemes/services can be availed through online mode. “It is another step towards enforcing transparency and accountability in the working of government departments” he added. He also called for synergised efforts to achieve one hundred percent saturation of the Government schemes and effective delivery of online services. While responding to the issue of scarcity of water, the DDC informed that 06 schemes worth Rs 41 crores have been sanctioned under JJM for the block. Reviewing the tendering and allotment process, he asked the PRIs to motivate Panchayat level contractors for their maximum participation in the tendering process. He also motivated the people to enroll for the SEHAT scheme to avail the health insurance benefits under the scheme. |
