| Lecture on gender equality and awareness of legal rights of women | | GLDM Degree College Hiranagar organised | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 24: Women Counseling Cell and Equal Opportunity Cell of G.L.D.M Degree College Hiranagar organized series of two lectures on the topic "Gender Equality " and "Awareness of Legal Rights of Women under the aegis of IQAC and Shikshit Bharat Shaksham Bharat Scheme. The program was conducted under the able guidance of worthy Principal and The Chief patron of the college Dr Pragya Khanna .The resource person was Radha Advocate J&K High Court. She talked about the Gender Equality and apprised the students about various opportunity irrespective of gender. She awared the female students about their legal rights. She also shared help line nos with the students. The special guest of the event was Bhanu Partap Jasrotia Advocate J&K High Court. The programme was initiated with the welcome address by Dr. Anju Rani, HOD History.The lecture concluded with the vote of thanks given by Prof. Arvind Kumar, Deptt. of Botany. The event was organised by Dr. Davinder Kour Convenor of Women Counseling Cell and Equal Opportunity Cell and Member Secretary IQAC, Prof Sujat Khan Coordinator IQAC, and committee members , Prof. Kiran Thapa, Prof. Ritika, Dr. Neeru Anand, Dr Jyoti Sharma ,Prof Neha Bhagat, Dr. Nidhi Jarangral, Dr.Preeti Verma, Prof. Kamlesh Bala and Reetu Bhushan. The Programme was attended by number of students. Others who attended the program were Dr. Rajesh Sharma and Prof Rakesh Sharma. |
