ADGP Armed promotes 754 constables to rank of SGCs

SRINAGAR, Aug 24: Syed Javid Mujtaba Gillani-IPS ADGP Armed J&K issued the promotion orders of 750 Constables of J&K Armed Police to the rank of Selection Grade Constables. An Order No 850 of 2022 dated 24-08-2022 stands issued today in this regard from Armed Police Headquarters J&K Srinagar.
The promotion orders of the said Constables to the rank of Selection Grade Constables have been issued after the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) headed by ADGP Armed J&K as its Chairman assessed the cases of eligible Constables as per their seniority and found them fit for promotion to their next rank in light of the relevant promotion norms.
The ADGP Armed J&K congratulated the newly promoted SGCTs and wished Goodluck to them and their families. He hoped that newly promoted SgCTs shall continuously demonstrate discipline, hard work and dedication towards their respective assignments so that their colleagues may also get inspired and follow them accordingly.
S.J.M Gillani-IPS appreciated the efforts of his staff officer Mahmood Ahmed-SSP and team of his officers and DPC members for completing the task in a time bond manner.
The departmental promotion committee (DPC) headed by S.J.M Gillani-IPS comprised of Shamsher Hussain-SSP Commandant JKAP-13th Bn, Mohammad Shafi Rather Dy. It is pertinent to mention here that during the current year till date 1573 Police Personnel of different ranks have been promoted to their next ranks including promotion of 29 ASIs as SIs, 170 HCs as ASIs, 524 SgCTs as HCs and 850 CTs as SgCTs.
