CJM Court restrains interference in land reserved for construction of shops for Migrants: RRC
"Encroachers to face severe legal consequences"
9/3/2022 11:04:31 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 3: Taking cognizance of the unwarranted interference and encroachment on Government land, (reserved for construction of shops in Lane No- 14 Migrant camp Jagti Nagrota), by a group of persons, the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Jammu has restrained any kind of interference in the construction of shops meant for Migrants.
As per the office of Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, "Shadi Lal Pandita, Inderjeet Labroo and Poshkar Nath, in the garb of religion had unauthorizedly constructed a temple on the said plot of land and were trying to encroach further. Despite being restrained by the Relief Organisation these habitual encroachers were trying to encroach upon the said piece of land in the garb of religion and trying to instigate camp inmates on emotional and religious lines. The Relief Organisation besides lodging an FIR and bringing the case to the notice of Deputy Commissioner and SSP Jammu, also filed an application before Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Jammu. The Court, after considering the case on merits concluded that the balance of convenience lies in favour of Relief Organisation and the refusal of indulgence by the Court could entail irreparable loss to the Government Department and the Government property. The Court of CJM Jammu vide order Dated: 31/08/2022 has restrained the encroachers from any interference in the construction of shops".
The Relief Organisation has further warned against "Indulging in the encroachment of Government property or has encroached upon any such property to immediately vacate the same within 15 days, failing which all such encroachers shall have to bear severe legal consequences."
