| MIER Group Celebrates Teachers Day | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 5: Teachers’ Day was celebrated with great fervour and exuberance at Model Academy and MIER College of Education. Dr. Renu Gupta Chairperson MIER group was the chief Guest and Dr. Adit Gupta Director MIER was the Guest of Honour. The programme was attended by the leadership teams of the Model Academy and MIER College of Education along with all the staff members of the school and college. The programme commenced with the garlanding and offering floral tributes to the great educationist and former President of India Dr Sarvappali Radhakrishnan.
To mark the celebration, an assemblage of events took place ranging from guru vandana, group songs, dance performances, Videos of Teachers and poetry recitation. These programmes were presented by the school and college students to honour their teachers.
Dr Renu Gupta in her address appreciated the efforts of all the teachers in playing a catalytic role in the holistic development of every student. Dr Adit Gupta lauded the teachers for their exemplary contribution in the growth of the school and the college. He also gave an acronym for the word ‘TEACHER’ as thoughtful, encouraging, advisor, cheerful, helpful, exceptional, and responsible.
The programme was conceptualised and coordinated by the co-curricular committees of the school and college headed by Mrs. Manju Vali and Mrs. Komal Sharma along with the cultural department of the institution. The event was ably anchored by the students from the school and college of education. |
