Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 5: Jammu & Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA), Jammu is organizing 13th International Art Exhibition (Online) in the memory of Late Gobind Kour, 1st Contemporary Woman Sculptor of Jammu (J&K). The exhibition would be inaugurated on 11th September, 2022. The art works of well known artists, along with the works of young artists of India and abroad will be displayed in this International Art Exhibition. According to OP Sharma, Founder Director, JKCCA, the NGO has been organizing different art, literary and cultural activities at various levels since the inception of JKCCA during 1999, and providing platforms to the artists in all fields. He added that it's a matter of pride for JKCCA that has successfully organized so far twelve International Art Exhibitions (Online or Offline) and a number of exhibitions and art camps at national level. He informed that Gobind Kour had been an alumnus of Institute of Music & Fine Arts, University of Jammu and also worked at the Institute. Born in 1954 she had been the student of renowned sculptor of the state, Late VR Khajuria. She had been able to show her talent in the field of Stone Carving, Drawing, Print- making and Painting. The prominent artists participating in the show include veteran artist VS Rahi, New Delhi; senior artists Dr. Rekha Rani Sharma, Gorkhpur (UP); Fareha Zeba, Dhaka (Bangladesh); Mamta Patel, USA; Dr. A K Dixit, New Delhi; Ganesh Sharma, Hira Nagar, Santosh Tiku and OP Sharma, Jammu, J&K; KS Gill and Dharminder Sharma, Amritsar; Pratima Singh, Lucknow; Meena Singh, Pune; Virender Kumar and Gaytri, Hoshiarpur.
