| Police recovers 4.9 Kg poppy straw under Operation Sanjeevani | | |  Early Times Report
RAMBAN, Sept 5: A police party of P/S Banihal headed by HC Abdul Latief while Naka checking intercepted one Tanker bearing registration no. JK02CR 3303 driven by Akash Bali S/o Rajesh Bali R/o Mehmoodpur Soura Bishnah Distt. Jammu who was coming from Srinagar towards Jammu. During checking of the Tanker, police recovered 4KG 900 Grams Poppy straw like substance from one plastic bag inside the cabin of the Tanker. Further, he disclosed that he was carrying the contraband for selling purpose and for illegal smuggling. On this, a Case FIR No. 200/2022 u/s 8/15 NDPS Act was registered in P/S Banihal and investigation is entrusted to PSI Sunil Kumar and the investigation is set into motion.
The overall recovery was carried out by police party headed by Insp Mohd Afzal Wani SHO P/S Banihal under the supervision of Nisar Ahmed Khoja SDPO Banihal with the overall supervision of SP Ramban, Mohita Shama, IPS. |
