Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 5: To celebrate the "Teacher's Day & Birth Anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan" Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan in coordination with Sangam Tru Art Production & National College of Computer Education presented its 342th Tuesday Series Musical Play "GURU BIN GYAN KAHAN SE PAUN" at Rehearsal Hall, Durga Bhawan Janipur Jammu. The Program was inaugurated by Chief Guest Dr. M.L. Dogra, former Regional Director, Song and Drama Division, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, V.K. Magotra, Former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity, Government of India, Dr. Tara Singh Charak, Former Deputy Director, Health Department, J&K Government, Dr. Anju Dogra, J&K health department, Mukesh Singh, Media Person were the Guest of Honor. The programe was commenced with songs "Jai Saraswati Maa", "Tamso Maa Jyotirgamay", "Guru Bin Gyan Kah Se Aye", "Bin Guru Giyan Nhi", "Padho Padho Padho Loko" sung by the renowned artistes and Students of BLSKS and the music was composed by renowned Music Teacher Raju Bajgal. The chief guest lauded the role of teachers and students and also necessity of education. On this day, BLSKS hold special celebratory activities for teachers and students. Students remembered and tribute for all the hard work their teachers put in all through the year for them, as a gesture of appreciation. Dr. Dogra also underlined the importance of staging of such plays in all parts of the state to generate the awareness of culture of our country and urged the artistes / cultural organization to contribute in enriching the cultural heritage and inspiring the younger generation to follow foot prints of their elders in preserving the composite culture of the nation. The teachers also awarded for here distinguished services in the field of Music and Computer Education. Earlier welcome address of V.K. Magotra, Managing Director of Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan said on the occasion 5th September is celebrated as Teachers Day as a mark of tribute to the contribution made by teachers to the society. 5th September is the birthday of a great teacher "Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan", who was a staunch believer of education, and was a well-known diplomat, scholar, the President of India and above all, a teacher. When some of his students and friends approached him and requested him to allow them to celebrate his birthday, he said, "instead of celebrating my birthday separately, it would be my proud privilege, if 5th September is observed as Teachers day". Teachers are the foundation of anyone's life. They are the stepping-stones that mould and nourish one's raw talent and potential. It is to honour such remarkable forces in our lives that Teacher's Day is celebrated. The singers, musician, actors and students of Music and Computer institute who performed in the musical play were Rajni Gupta, K.K. Joshi, M.C. Kotwal, Chahat Chadha, Balbinder Richu, Naiya Digra, Renu Bala, Kamla Devi presented the enthralled performance Master Deepak Kumar presented vote of thanks for successful conduction of the program. |
