Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 8: Central Zone J&K National Conference leaders paid tributes to the party founder and former Jammu and Kashmir Chief minister Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah, popularly known as Sher-e-Kashmir, on his 40th death anniversary on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, Former Minister and President Central Zone JKNC Babu Rampaul said that throughout his charismatic political career, Sher-e-Kashmir symbolized the aspirations of Jammu and Kashmir people as no single individual could have even dreamed of doing. "The best tribute to Sher-e-Kashmir will be to strengthen amity among Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs. He said the slogan of 'Hindu, Muslim, Sikh Itihaad' preached and practiced by Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah is continuously reverberating the valleys, planes and mountains of the State. The others who spoke on the occasion include Dr.Vikas Sharma Coordinator Jammu District (Urban) and Secretary Central Zone, BD Dalotra, Satpal Shabotra, Ashok Taygi, Baldev Raj, Amar Nath Bhagat, Manohar Lal Dalotra, Romesh Kumar and Manohar Lal Patyal. Earlier, Babu Rampaul, Former Minister and President Central Zone National Conference, today paid a visit to Home for mentally Challenged Children at Channi Rama alongwith Dr Vikas Sharma, Adv Aslam Choudhary, Sardar Nirmal Singh, Satpal Shabotra, BD Dalotra, T.R Mandi, S. Surjeet Singh Sasan, Baldev Raj, Som Raj Taroch, Surjeet Kumar, Manohar Lal Dalotra, Manohar Lal Patyal, and others. During visit, Babu Rampaul distributed food items to children there and enquired about the well-being of the children. On this occassion, he also interacted with the management of Home for mentally challenged children and got himself acquainted with the facilities being provided to the children. |
