| DIG delivers lecture on Border Mgmt | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 8: Surjit Singh, Dy. Inspector General, Sector Hqrs. BSF Jammu delivered lectures on the topic Border Management which includes border Security issues, Tunnels, Drones, etc to the Dy.SsP of J&K Police attending two weeks orientation cum refresher course. At the outset, he gave a brief account of flux of duties being performed at the frontiers and also in the internal security issues. He made a clean breast of threats & challenges being faced at the frontiers together with the modus operandi of the infiltrations with active support of their mentors. He further said that digging tunnels from across and flying UAV's is a full fledged engineering marvel. The role of border population is crucial in the matters of the internal security and understanding their culture & needs is inevitably important. At the end of presentation, Shri Mohan Lal, SSP, Deputy Director Trainings SKPA thanked the visiting faculty. By making a comprehensive sum up, he spoke that upholding unity, integrity and security is the prime duty of every citizen of the Country, whereas police personnel have to be more responsible in making their contributions. For the knowledgeable presentation, he expressed sincere gratitude to the visiting faculty and was optimistic that knowledge gained in the session will upskill the capabilities of the officers. |
