NEW DELHI, Sept 26: Pinegrove School U-14 boys basketball team was declared Runners up in the U -14 IPSC Basketball Tournament held at Pestleweed School, Dehradun where 12 schools from across the country participated. Boys displayed excellent grit, determination and team spirit in all the league matches and out played all the teams in their pool quite convincingly to move in to the Semi- finals be it PPS Nabha (51-11), Mayo College, Ajmer (48-05) or YPS Mohali (35-17).
Continuing with their winning streak in the Semi-final the boys exhibited their supremacy against The Emerald Heights International School, Indore and recorded a comfortable win with the score 30-20 on board. Boys lost the final to MNS School, Rai by 25-40.
Vardaan Singh Thakur was adjudged as the Best player of the tournament. |
