Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 27: As part of Poshan Maah Celebration, Central Bureau of Communication, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, J&K in collaboration with ICDS, R.S. Pura organised a programme on Poshan Maah at Anganwadi Centre, Badiyal Brahmnan in Badela ICDS Centre. Speaking on the occasion, Programme Officer, ICDS Renu Bhasin said that the Government of India's flagship programme is to improve nutritional outcomes for children under 6 years of age, pregnant women and lactating mothers. On the occasion, a healthy baby show was organised in which children from 0-6 years of age participated. A team of doctors headed by Dr. Sakshi, MO from Primary Health Centre, Badiyal Brahmna checked the health of the babies. Expert lecture on the theme was also delivered by Vidushi Soodan. An open quiz contest based on Poshan Maah was also conducted for the audience. Prominent persons of the area were also present. Private Registered Troupes of Central Bureau of Communication, Government of India, Jammu presented cultural programmes on the theme. A nukkad Natak presented by Lok Nath Jattar and Party was also presented on the occasion. The function was culminated by presenting prizes to the participants of various activities. |
