Shiv Sena welcomes ban on PFI | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 28: Shiv Sena's Jammu and Kashmir unit Chief, Manish Sahni has welcomed the central government's action against the Popular Front of India (PFI). In a press release issued from the party's state office, Manish Sahni, President Shiv Sena J&K advocated for not tolerating such organizations which are threat to the country's peace, national security and territorial integrity. Sahni said that these organizations, which are a threat to the integrity and mutual brotherhood of the country, should be banned forever not only five years and it should be ensured that such organization does not become active again by changing its name. Popular Front of India i.e. PFI is also the second incarnation of the organization named SIMI banned after 9/11 attacks. "PFI and its allied organisations were found to be involved in serious crimes. The organisation recently became active in terror funding, murders, insulting the Constitution, disturbing the social harmony and unity of the country," he said. Sahni said that the PFI was trying to spread its footprint through the Hizbul Mujahideen, a terrorist organization based in Jammu and Kashmir. |
