POK seeks Azadi from Pakistan
9/29/2022 11:00:33 PM

Residents of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) have started raising their voice against the injustice and atrocities being faced by them.
Recently, the residents of POK capital Muzaffarabad staged a protest against the looting of their mineral resources by the federal government. The protesters claimed that the Pakistan Government is plundering the mineral resources in POK and is turning the region barren.
After the abrogation of Article 370, J&K has witnessed massive development and it has opened the eyes of the denizens of the PoK. They are wondering when would the region under Pakistan’s occupation witness the same development?
New Delhi has implemented several new projects in Jammu and Kashmir to make the lives easy for people while Islamabad on the other hand, has suffered many budget cuts, with the government also favoring corrupt politicians. China invading the territory and using the POK land to fulfill its ambitions has added to the woes of the natives.
The federal government in Pakistan has done everything it can to placate China, allowing their golden plan to form a sea route through PoK. Thousands of Chinese engineers and workers are deployed in PoK and are eking out their livings by exploiting the resources of PoK.
Islamabad has been treating PoK as a center of terrorism, while New Delhi’s policies of development, peace and prosperity have made Jammu and Kashmir one of the most developed regions in the world.
There is no comparison between PoK’s capital, Muzzafarabad, and Srinagar or Jammu, JK’s twin capitals. It’s like comparing the metropolises of Mumbai and Kolkata to a provincial city in India.
For the past 70-years residents of PoK have been suffering in silence because they are not allowed to raise their voices. The media is controlled by the government to ensure that human rights abuses by the armed forces and terrorists go unreported.
People of POK raising their voice against the tyrannical rulers in Pakistan have sent alarm bells ringing in the neighbouring country as the PoK has started demanding Azadi from Pakistan and the denizens of the PoK are seeing a hope in Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. They are hoping that India will take yet another bold decision by reclaiming the territory which belongs to India.
