JAMMU, Oct 10: Expressing confidence that BJP Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been transforming J&K by changing contours of development, senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta said that the present pace of works being accomplished in the Union Territory will soon bring sea change in its development profile.
Addressing a gathering after launching development works of roads and deep drain at Belicharana at an estimated cost of Rs 15 lakh, the BJP stalwart said that the Modi government has initiated number of development projects in the last couple of years and very soon the results would start coming out changing the development profile of the region.
The senior BJP functionary, while interacting with the residents of the area, assured that public service and welfare of society is the benchmark approach of BJP government and that is the reason behind total overhauling of the public infrastructure in J&K.
He said that the stakeholders in J&K are working relentlessly for achieving the goal of making the Union Territory an example for its counterparts with up to the mark edifice and all round development.
He also invited innovative suggestions from people for putting in more vigour into the BJP government’s mission to provide bounties in the shape of facilities and services to the people of UT.
The development work at Belicharana was initiated in presence of Vinay Gupta BJP District President, Bharat Bhushan, Mandal President, Narinder Koki, Suraj Rana, Kehar Singh, Daler Singh, Antu Kotwal, Amrika Devi, Gurdyal Singh and Rakesh Kumar.
Kavinder said that by start of this work, a long pending demand of the people of the area has been ceded.
As the locals raised the issue of dearth of potable water in the vicinity, Kavinder assured to resolve this significant issue in the area by highlighting the issue before Jal Shakti Department.
The senior BJP leader said that he is well aware of the problems of people of this locality because most of them have settled here after migrating from Doda District.
He also appealed to the government to regularize this colony of displaced people and provide justice to one and all.
