GGM Science College celebrates World Students Day | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 15: NSS GGM Science College celebrated World's Student Day by paying tribute to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam, on his birth anniversary under the patronage of worthy Principal Dr. Ravender Tickoo and guidance of NSS PO Dr. Deepali Mahajan. NSS volunteers Mrinalini and Sanjana wrote slogans on his teachings to pay tribute to the selfless contribution of Kalam towards the development of education in our society. He served as the 11th President of India. The life story of Kalam tells about the power of dreams. He was born in a modest family. In his childhood days, he faced hard times, but he worked hard and studied well to achieve his goals.As an aerospace scientist, Dr Kalam worked with India's two major space research organisations Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). His most significant works include the development of the Indian ballistic missile and launch vehicle technology. He played a central role in one of India's most important nuclear tests, Pokhran-II. For his work in science and politics, he was awarded 'Bharat Ratna', India's highest civilian honour. NSS Volunteers paid their tributes by playcards remembering his vision especially for students and youth. Thinking should become your capital asset, no matter whatever ups and downs you come across in your life. All of us do not have equal talent.
