Package employees protest enters day 161 | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 20: The agitation of PM package migrant employees for seeking their relocation outside valley enters 161th day today as the protestors in large numbers have assembled at various Pandit Colonies across the Kashmir valley and shouted slogans in support of their one point demand of relocation. While holding national flags in their hands, the protesting employees continued their protest against the indifferent attitude of the centre government and raised their voice for the fulfillment of their only demand of relocation/attachment to Relief Commissioner Office Jammu. The leaders of the protesting package employees have expressed their dismay over the lackadasical approach of the centre government and LG administration towards the plight of the package employees. They further said that these employees cannot live and work in Kashmir as there is fear and feeling of insecurity among all the Kashmiri Pandit package employees due to recent selective and targeting killings of Hindu minorities particularly Kashmiri Pandits. Meanwhile, the leaders of the package employees have resolved and stated that their agitation will continue till their demand of shifting to safer places outside Kashmir is met. |
