Pak back to its old tricks
11/1/2022 10:57:22 PM

After the anti-money laundering watchdog Financial Action Task Force (FATF) removed Pakistan from its “grey list” disturbing reports are emerging from Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK). Terror camps have returned and terrorists are waiting to infiltrate into this side.
Intelligence agencies have warned that terrorists are planning something big before snowfall and there is a possibility about a large group of terrorists infiltrating into this side.
After the FATF had put Pakistan in the “grey list” the neighboring country was forced to take action against the terrorists due to foreign funds getting choked.
The FATF recently removed Pakistan from its list after 4-years. During the past four years, Pakistan economy has taken a severe hit and inflation has skyrocketed. People in Pakistan have staged many protests against the soaring prices of the essential commodities and the government’s failure to tackle the situation.
During the tenure of Imran Khan, Pakistan witnessed increase in terror related activities as Khan publicly had announced on many occasions that terrorists are a part and parcel of Pakistani State. The hard line adopted by Khan had led to Pakistan being at the verge of being declared as a terrorist state.
The FATF removing Pakistan from the ‘grey list’ has provided it with an opportunity to rebuild its shattered economy and provide some respite to citizens who stand crippled under the burden of soaring prices.
But the reports emanating from across the border reveal that Pakistan is back to its old tricks as the terror camps and terrorists have returned. If these reports are true then it means that Pakistan would once again make attempts to bleed India and foment trouble in Jammu and Kashmir.
After the abrogation of Article 370, J&K has witnessed tremendous development and the security forces have succeeded in eliminating the entire leadership of the terrorists. Local recruitment in terror ranks has declined and the people too are not supporting the terrorists.
The Hurriyat Conference which used to spearhead separatists stands dismantled as separatists are in prisons and many have died. It seems that Pakistan is planning to send foreign terrorists into J&K to reactivate the terror cells and create chaos and uncertainty in Kashmir.
The international community needs to take a note and act against India’s rogue neighbor. If the world fails to act war cannot be ruled out as India has lost patience and won’t tolerate any nonsense.
