Infrastructural development in J&K, Ladakh is happening like never before: Raman Suri
11/2/2022 10:38:39 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 2: "Those politicians who are blind to development and were solely responsible for keeping Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh out of the purview of progress must check how the Union Government has dedicated 75 projects to general public in one single go and how the remotest of villages are getting connected to cities. They must see how development is transforming the lives of people and how both Union territories of Ladakh as well as Jammu and Kashmir are progressing".
This was stated by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K Executive Member Raman Suri, who added that the pace of development is so fast that the Union Ministers can't wait to inaugurate projects of utmost importance one by one. "We were already lagging behind in terms of development as compared to other states. This is the time when we have to go with full throttle and make people believe that development is their basic right and that the BJP government is giving them their due honestly", said Raman Suri.
Suri further said, despite Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurating 75 projects of Border Roads Organisation (BRO) from Shyok in Leh district on Friday, there are politicians who still question the government's intentions. Bridges, roads, helipads, tunnels and other infrastructures are all coming up like never before and this is becoming possible because the Union Government is directly monitoring development and has left no scope for corruption or pilferage. Despite all this, the opposition is behaving like ignorant.
He asked the opposition leaders to have a big heart and see all that's going on in Jammu and Kashmir besides Ladakh, which they failed to do in past 75 years. Instead of making people part of development and focussing on youth, these politicians engaged masses in unproductive activities and spread hatred. Now, people have themselves realised that nothing short of development, participation in government programmes, creating businesses for themselves with active support of government and making J&K blink on international maps of tourism is good in the larger interest.
The recently-inaugurated 75 projects of BRO include 45 bridges, 27 roads, 2 helipads and a 'Carbon Neutral Habitat'. Had there been previous governments here, they would have taken ages to throw open these projects for public. After 75 years, today roads, bridges, helipads, airstrips and railways lines are giving good access to the soldiers to take enemies head-on. This is the power of new India, which is not going to look back now, Raman Suri added.
