B2V4: DC Kishtwar presides over Gram Panchayat proceedings at Panchayat Lachkhazana

KISHTWAR, Nov 3: The mega public outreach programme, under the 3rd and last phase of Back to village edition 4th, concluded successfully today here in District Kishtwar under the Overall supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Dr Devansh Yadav.
During the last phase, the Visiting officers (VO) conducted scheduled activities across 27 Panchayats of the District amid huge participation of people from all walks of life. The locals and PRIs put forth their issues and grievances which were recorded by the respective Visiting Officers with assurance of time bound redressal.
The teams of Officers also reviewed the progress in the implementation of beneficiary oriented schemes and ongoing developmental works.
Deputy Commissioner, Dr Devansh Yadav presided over the proceedings of Special Gram Sabha at Village Indranagar of Lachkhazana Panchayat.
The DC said that the Back to village programme was meant to assess the achievements under development works projected under various schemes during previous B2V.
"The main aim of B2V4 is to give a flip to the developmental tempo of rural areas and provide the locals an opportunity to project their issues and grievances before the Visiting officers for further sharing with the concerned higher ups for redressal" he explained.
During the Special Gram Sabha, Gram Panchayat Development plan, GPDP 2023-24 was given a final touch in presence of locals and PRIs.
The DC Kishtwar also conducted Mahila Sabha and listened to the grievances and issues of local women folk in presence of PRIs, Visiting Officers and other officers.
Government initiatives meant for empowerment of Women through women centric welfare schemes were also highlighted during the Mahila Sabha.
The DC Kishtwar assured to extend every possible help to women under self employment schemes.
