Plan Foiled
11/10/2022 11:00:55 PM

Recently Jammu and Kashmir Police foiled yet another attempt of terrorists to smuggle arms into Kashmir by busting a terror module involved in transporting weapons in oil tankers.
Three over ground workers of terrorists were arrested by the police at Trikuta Nagar while they were trying to smuggle the arms in an oil tanker.
Weapons seized by the Police were to being taken to Kashmir to be handed over to the terrorists. The swift action of the policemen prevented them from succeeding in their nefarious designs.
For the past 30-years Pakistan has been pushing in terrorists and arms into Jammu and Kashmir and has been promoting bloodshed. Terrorism has been a part of Pakistan’s state policy.
Despite Pakistan losing a three decade long proxy war, it hasn’t given up and continues to carry on with its dirty tactics.
The terror funding watchdog, Financial Action Task Force (FATF), removing Pakistan from the ‘grey list’ has provided a chance to terror groups to regroup. There are reports that terror camps have returned to Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) and the terror groups are planning something big. They are reportedly planning to carry out a major infiltration bid. In the past one month security forces have foiled a few attempts of terrorists to sneak in.
The terrorists are air dropping weapons through drones and are using criminals to smuggle arms into Kashmir. The recent recovery of weapons from an oil tanker in Jammu city is a glaring example of how Pakistan is trying to revive terrorism in Kashmir.
After August 5, 2019—when the Centre announced its decision to abrogate J&K’s special status and divided it into two Union Territories—Pakistan has made desperate attempts to keep the pot boiling and foment trouble in J&K but the security forces have maintained an upper hand and haven’t allowed terrorists to call the shots. People in Kashmir also have understood that Pakistan is not their friend and it wants to keep the pot boiling by using the natives as cannon fodder. In the past three years local support to terrorists has dwindled, while on the other hand the security forces have shattered the terror ecosystem in Kashmir. J&K has changed as Pakistan sponsored proxy war is nearing its end.
