Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 11: To celebrate the National Education Day & to promote the Traditional Duggar folk culture of J&K, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan presented its 134th Friday Series Musical concert "BIN AKSHAR SAB SUNA " in Close coordination with Sangam Tru Art production & National College of computer Education at Rehearsal Hall, Durga Bhawan, Janipur Jammu. The Program was inaugurated by Chief Guest Dr.A.C.Bhagat, former chief animal Husbandry officer, J&K Government. V.K. Magotra, Former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity, Government of India, Dr. Tara Singh Charak , Former Deputy Director, J&K Health Department & Mukesh Singh, Media Person Jammu were the Guest of Honor. The Musical songs on the theme were written ,produced and directed by Dr.M.L.Dogra former Regional Director, Song and Drama Division Ministry of Information and Broadcasting ,Government of India and the music was assisted by Raju Bajgal, Music Instructor, Jammu. The song sung by the artists were "Maa Saraswati Sharda", "Satya Mav Jayate", "Vidya Daan - Sab Cha Mahan", "Apu Padhna Dyeb Padhana Ghar Ghar Eae Diya Jalana", "Guru Bin Gyan Kha Se Aye", "Jan jan ka utthan karo ghar-ghar vidya daan karo," “Sun-Sun Saheli Meri Sun, Paruhn Likhu Yehi Meri Dhun". The Musical concert was highly appreciated by the audience and the Chief Guest lauded the efforts of the organizers in making such awareness programmes colorful effective and also said the Ministry of Human Resource Development sets a different theme for National Education Day every year. The theme of this year is "Changing Course, Transforming Education". This theme indicates that there is a need of reforming the education system and make it adaptable to the current times. The agenda was to imbibe reading and writing skills amongst children / adults from all backgrounds because education has the capability to arouse curiosity, logical thinking and develop a peaceful mind that directly impacts the social, economical and political environment of the World. Earlier in welcome address of Dr. M.L. Dogra, Chairman of Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan, highlighted Schools, colleges and universities celebrate the day with symposia, seminars and competitions like essay-writing, elocution and workshops. Rallies with banner cards and slogans on the importance of literacy are also a common sight during National Education Day celebration. Education refers to the discipline that is concerned with methods of teaching and learning in schools or school-like environments, as opposed to various non formal and informal means of socialization. It helps people become better citizens, get a better-paid job, shows the difference between good and bad. Education shows us the importance of hard work and, at the same time, helps us grow and develop. There are three main types of education, namely, Formal, Informal and Non-formal. Education is a means of achieving a world of peace, justice, freedom, and equality for all. Education should enable the learner acquire a sense of nationhood and patriotism. It should also promote peace and harmonious co-existence. Education should prepare the learner to play an effective and productive role in the nation. Thus, education is extremely necessary for all. No good life is possible without education. It indorses the intelligence of human beings, develops his skill, and enables him to be industrious.
