Early Times Report DODA, Nov 25: Reserve Bank of India, Jammu today conducted an awareness event under Nation-wide Consumer Financial Awareness Programme, here at Community Hall Doda. The programme aims at improving customer relation with financial institutions and general awareness on extant regulations to protect consumer interests, alternative grievance redress mechanisms, safe banking practices, etc., under the aegis of "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav", RBI Kehta hai, Jankar Baniye, Satrak Rahiye Programme is being organised by various Banks and RBI in all over India from 1st Nov to 30th Nov. Deputy Commissioner, Visesh Paul Mahajan was the chief guest on the occasion, besides RBI ombudsman, RM SBI, LDM, Cluster Head JK Bank Doda, Director RSETI, SBI BM Doda, and Branch Manager PNB, EDB, ICICI attended the program. RBI Ombudsman Ramesh Chand discussed in detail about complaints & redressal mechanism, Digital frauds and avenues available to customers. Sushil Kumar Hans, RM SBI discussed customer grievances Redressal mechanism, customers' rights and other issues related with financial institutions working under RBI. In his address, the DC urged the public to stay vigilant against cyber frauds and asked the RBI officials to give wide publicity to the safeguards available for the customers and circulate the helpline number(s) among them through which they can register their complaint in case they feel cheated. |
