| Ladakh ex-gratia to families of sportswomen | | |

Jammu, Dec 2: The Secretary to Ladakh Lt Governor Ravinder Kumar met the bereaved families of two Ladakhi sportswomen who died in a car accident at Ramban in Jammu on September 19 and gave each of the next of kin Rs 5 lakh. The deceased sportswomen were identified as Tsetan Dolma, daughter of Tashi Angdus (Durbuk), and Rigzin Lhamo, daughter of Mutup Dorjey (Nubra).
Lt Governor R K Mathur had announced the ex-gratia. The deceased were pursuing Masters in Physical Education from Jammu University and had represented Ladakh at the national level in ice hockey and football.
Tsetan from Durbuk had represented India in five international ice hockey championships and various national and local tournaments.
Rigzin Lamo from Nubra was a part of the Ladakh women's football team and had participated in national tournaments. |
