Early Times Report RAMBAN, Dec 6: Commissioner Secretary Forests, Ecology, and Environment, Sanjeev Verma today visited Ghora Gali which is an ancient sculptural stone marvel in Sub-Division Gool of district Ramban. He said these sites have huge tourism potential and the government has initiated various steps to promote tourist infrastructure and other logistic facilities in the area. The Commissioner Secretary inspected the site and evinced keen interest in the antique valuables and said that every effort will be made to preserve the site as a cultural heritage. He also interacted with PRIs and the general public there. The Commissioner Secretary directed the concerned authorities to use funds available for executing the project to rejuvenate the Goragali stone sculptures and beautification to develop the area as a tourist destination. Chief Conservator of Forest, BM Sharma, Additional Secretary Forest, Dhanatar Singh, ADC Harbans Lal, SDM Gool, Tanveer-Ul-Majid, DFO Ramban Dr. Rajan Singh, DFO Batote Kuldeep Singh, DFO SF, Mahesh Thakur and other officers also accompanied the Commissioner Secretary. |
