Progress of Education Sector projects taken up under District Capex Budget, other schemes reviewed in Rajouri

RAJOURI, Dec 9: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today reviewed the progress of the Education Sector projects taken up under District Capex Budget and other schemes.
During the meeting, the DDC took a detailed review of the physical and financial status of the works taken up under the District Capex Budget, BADP and SSY. The concerned officers apprised the meeting about to date status in this regard. Reviewing the progress of works under District Capex Budget 2022-23, it was informed that out of 58 works as many as 19 works are complete. The DDC reviewed the status of each project and directed the officers to maintain synergy to complete the works well in time. Regarding construction of Smart class Rooms, the meeting was apprised that out of 20 SCRs, 19 have been completed, while one work approved under BADP is also complete in all respects.
About the Education Sector under SSY projects, it was informed that out of 7 proposed works, the tenders for 05 works have been allotted. The DDC asked the concerned officers to expedite the progress on the projects to complete the same within the already set deadlines. He also laid emphasis on close monitoring of the developmental works for maintaining quality and made it clear that no laxity would be tolerated in this regard. The DDC also directed the concerned officers to resolve the bottlenecks hampering the developmental projects timely to ensure smooth execution of works. Officers who attended the meeting were CEO Education, Shailash Kumari; Principal GMGHSS Rajouri, Abdul Raof Dar; ExEn PWD(R&B) Rajouri, Maqbool Hussain; ExEn PWD(R&B) Nowshera, Vikram Singh; ExEn REW, Zahir Khan and AD Planning, Bansi Lal and BDO Rajouri, Chander Kant Bhagat.
