IWC members celebrate universal health coverage day with senior citizens

JAMMU, Dec 12: 12 December is observed as Universal Health Civerage Day. On this day, emphasis is laid on public education and raise concerns on health issues. IWC Jammu Tawi visited Home for Old and Infirm Aamphala to spend time with them and attend to some of the Health needs, pertaining to body Hygiene.
2. In old age, requirement of nutritional food /Vitamin supplements is critical. Also, for old people, care of feet and joints and massage is essential. To keep the body immune to Severe winters, Head and feet require special care. With all this in mind, a project was conceptualized by Presudent Ms Paramjit Kaur. Requirement of essentials was coordinated by Dr Paramjit Kaur.Arrangements were made for Pedicure for Inmates, including message for the body joints, under expert meducal advuce of Dr Paramjit Kour. The club members, Nidhi Mahajan and Pooja Malhotra donated Wollen Socks/ Caps / Mufflers for inmates.. Food supplements/Fruits were donated by Paramjit Kaur,,Gurvinder Kaur,Jaswant kaur and Vimal. Poonam Gupta donated a sum of Rs 10000 for Old Age Home. All of these members attended the function, in addition to PDC Dr Santosh Gupta.
3. President Ms Paramjit Kaur called upon the society, specially the students to take out time to do social service and spend some time with the senior citizens, once in a while, as the old citizens require care . We must spend some time with old inmates, who are abonded by theur families, wheras they require care and love of their near ones, in old age.
