12/13/2022 10:28:09 PM
Early Times Report
MANJAKOTE, Dec 13: Jammu and Kashmir is passing through a difficult phase and need of the time is to strengthen the hands of Dr Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah to steer it to peace, progress and development.
This was stated by Ajaz Jan, Provincial President Youth National Conference Jammu and senior NC leader while addressing a meeting of the National Conference workers at Manjakote area of district Rajouri today. The meeting was organized by Muzaffar Khan, Zonal Legal Advisor National Conference Manjakote, Rajouri.
Addressing party workers, Jan said that the tall claims made by the ruling government at the Centre with regard to unprecedented development in Jammu and Kashmir after abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A has proved to be hoax but the reality is that the situation has gone from bad to worst. A common man in Jammu and Kashmir is suffering on account of wrong policies of the government, he added.
The senior NC leader castigated the BJP Govt at the Centre and its proxy Govt in Jammu and Kashmir for plunging this state into instability by depriving the people of electing a representative Govt through a democratic process.
During the meeting Muzaffar Khan, Zonal Legal Advisor NC apprised the senior functionary about the problems being faced by the people of hilly areas of Rajouri and the issues were deliberated at length to address the same.
Khan said that the utter misgovernance by the incumbent non-representative dispensation in the state has piled up the miseries of the common people and there is nobody to listen to their woes. He said that remote areas have been the worst victims of the misgovernance where people's pressing issues are not being addressed. He accused the BJP Government of stalling all the pilot projects initiated by the National Conference in the hilly Rajouri region, not to talk of starting any new project in the region by the present govt.
Ajaz Jan asked the party workers to remain present among the people at the grass roots level and address their day to day problems. He asked them to make the people aware about the achievements of the party especially during the NC regime in the erstwhile State of Jammu and Kashmir. While impressing upon the people to vote for NC in the impending Assembly elections, Jan appealed to the government for announcing elections at the earliest seeking end to the political instability.
Muzaffar Khan assured Ajaz Jan of taking the achievements and policy programmes of the party to the people at grass roots level. Prominent among others present on the occasion were Aslam Khan, Block President Tassaduq Khan Sarpanch, Manzoor Malik Block President, Farooq Mughal Sarpanch, Shamim Mughal, Mukhtar Mirza, Anjum Shawl, Sarpanch Ayub, Sarpanch Shamsher Khan, Sarpanch Rafiq Mughal, Mati Rehman District President Rajouri Youth, Nadeem District Secretary Youth Rajouri, Saddam Malik and Sarpanch Azam Sahab.
