Provide pensionary benefits to Anganwari workers at par with Agniveers: AAP
12/19/2022 10:23:52 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 19: Senior AAP leaders held a meeting here in its Laxmipuram-Chinore office in Jammu North Assembly Constituency and expressed great resentment over step motherly and discriminatory treatment of Anganwari workers & Helpers vis-à-vis Agniveer Jawans so far it relates to their pensionary benefits.
As per release issued here by the Senior AAP leaders including Ram Singh Chauhan, Kuldeep Kumar Rao, Puran Chand Bhagat, Jagdish Raj Chopra, Romesh Lal Bhagat, Suresh Bhagat, S. Ranjodh Singh & Sukhdev Kumar Sangral, the Anganwari workers & helpers having put in their life time services up to the age of 60 years, are by an arbitrary order, being retired having completed 60 years of age, (are about more than 65% of workers) without any pensionary benefits thereby exposing their family lives to great challenges in these hard days of sky rocketing prices, whereas, on the contrary, government has announced & sanctioned handsome amount in favour of Agniveer Jawans at the age of 25 years when they retire; thus openly exhibiting a biased & discriminatory treatment the AAP leaders said and demanded that LG government to intervene and ensure that "Equal treatment" is meted out to all classes of government employees so that no unrest & step motherly treatment is felt, the AAP leaders said.
The AAP leaders cautioned the people of J&K in general & youths/women in particular to read between the lines & judge for themselves as to who is anti-youths, anti- farmers, anti-labourers, anti-workers, anti small traders, anti employees etc. In fact, the ruling Party is working on the policy to keep 95% people poor and 5% wealthy to fund & rule which is very dangerous for unity & integrity of Country, the AAP leaders cautioned & appealed to reject the spent forces who have exploited & deceived people in the name of region & religion & have only sold "Pseudo-Secularism & Pseudo--Nationalism" over the past 74 years & tried to carve out their vote pockets weakening the fabrics, unity & integrity of Nation and embrace the Delhi Model of governance across the country which has proved its BENCH MARK status globally as well.
